Rolin Pettway, Jr. (b. 1983, Detroit, MI) is a black multidisciplinary artist living and working in Atlanta, GA. He sees his work as living at the intersection of pop culture, spirituality, and black culture. Rolin is inspired by his family, academic journey, travel, and life experiences. Rolin's creative production continues to be expressed through drawing, painting, music, writing, fashion, sculpture, photography, and video. A core part of his work is continually reflecting on the “un-”: how to un-draw,  un-paint, un-photograph, un-build, etc., as a means of achieving a different form of realism. This process tends to lead back to rudimentary, un-masterly, and child-like approaches across different media.
